'Daypack Hikes' - Guided Paths and Trails

Cancellation

Cancellations should be made in writing and are effective from the date received in this office. For cancellation received more than 56 days before the commencement of a Daypack Hike the deposit will be forfeit. For cancellations received between 56 and 15 days before the commencement of the tour, 50% of the tour cost will be refunded.

Cancellations received 14 days or less before the starting date of the tour, or during the tour, will not be eligible for a refund.

These cancellation fees are implemented in all cases, so we recommend that you are fully covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy; this will save you the embarrassment of asking us to waive cancellation fees and Footpath Holidays the embarrassment of having to say “no”.

Please see our Travel & Holiday Insurance Information page for details of the type of policy which would be suitable.

The guest making the booking (the first named guest on the booking form) accepts these booking terms and conditions on behalf of all guests named on the booking form.

Cancellation or Curtailment of Tours

In the unlikely event that fewer than six guests book onto a particular tour we reserve the right to cancel the tour up until six weeks prior to commencement. Guests will have the option to transfer to another available tour without charge or receive a prompt refund of all monies paid.

Footpath Holidays also reserves the right to cancel your holiday, or make changes to holiday arrangements, before or during the course of the holiday, due to unforeseen circumstances. Again, when the cancellation or amendment takes place prior to commencement of the holiday guests will have the option to transfer to another available tour without charge or receive a prompt refund of all monies paid. In the event of Force Majeure, or curtailment due to unforeseen circumstances, these options may not apply.

If the original booking was made online any advice of cancellation will be sent to the E.Mail address from which the booking was originally made, unless you have advised us of a change of E.Mail address, in which case the most recent E.Mail address will be used. If the original  booking made using a hardcopy booking form any advice of cancellation will be sent to your postal address.

Force Majeure: We regret that Footpath Holidays cannot accept any liability, pay any compensation or offer the choices detailed above where cancellation, curtailment or amendment arises as a result of force majeure. Likewise, any failure to deliver the services agreed at the time of booking.

Force majeure includes any event which we, or our suppliers, could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Such events include (but are not limited to) war (or the threat of war), terrorism, civil unrest, industrial disputes, fire, natural or man-made disasters, adverse weather conditions, any event which compromises group safety, and all such events outside our control.

"Just got back to Canada and I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the walk in Dorset. I would recommend your company to any of my freinds looking to go walking in the UK and I'll certainly be back again"
